Membership is aimed at helping you receive assignments through MAA-akatemia and succeed in them. As an MAA-akatemia expert, you strengthen your expertise, discover new opportunities, and belong to a multidisciplinary community of specialists.
Who can apply for a MAA-akatemia expert?
MAA-akatemia is a community of farming pioneers and experts. We want to ensure that our clients (such as farmers and businesses) always receive the best possible support, which is why our expert members have strong professional backgrounds.
To us, solid hands-on experience and specialization through education are equally valuable. Our criteria are designed to be flexible, taking into account various aspects of work experience.
The cooperative board processes applications individually.
Choose your path in MAA-akatemia
Our criteria and membership tiers are divided into three levels based on the role you seek in our community.
All experts are required to have at least 3 years of work experience in an applicable field (e.g. agriculture, horticulture, environmental management, advisory, or related research).
Depending on the level, we require fulfillment of 2, 3, or 4 applicable criteria.
1. Network Membership
This tier is for those who primarily wish to join an expert knowledge community, network, and take part in driving change. Also ideal for students or farmers exploring an advisory role.
You must meet at least 2 of the 8 applicable criteria alongside relevant work experience.
2. Basic Expert Membership (BASIC LEVEL)
This tier is suitable for independent practitioners wishing to build their professional profile and leverage the cooperative's foundational tools.
You must meet at least 3 of the 8 applicable criteria alongside relevant work experience.
A vocational or higher education degree is required.
3. Advisors and Trainers
This tier is designed for professionals actively providing advisory services, hosting courses or webinars, and wishing to engage with clients under the MAA-akatemia brand.
At least 3 years of work experience and an applicable vocational or higher education degree.
You must meet at least 4 of the 8 applicable criteria.
